to sleep, perchance to dream
I had a nasty dream the other night. I dreamt that Erica climbed over her crib railing and fell out.
It startled me awake, and i ran into the room to make sure she was ok.
...
When i was in elementary school, i would have the same dream at the beginning of every school year. The difference was, each year the "roles" were by different people: the kids in my class. I only vaguely remember it.
Something like: we're at this big creepy castle. and there's a witch lady. and she can fly. and she chases after us and we try to escape her. We can fly too. How fun. ... There was a bit of romance... and whoever i "fell in love with" in the dream is who i had a crush on all school year.
So... what dreams do you have?

my dreams are strange and make no sense. i'm usually at work.
I don't dream and remember much but I have woken up in a full fledged panic attack before. I dreamt I was suffocating. It was awful!
My dreams are very interesting like a thriller but i usually forget abt them the next day. I do have a recurring nightmare of gigantic animals attacking me.
I Have a Recurring Night Terror... Happens every so often... Had it for years It’s the same one my Mom had when she met my Father. In the dream I am Like 2 or so my sister is about 5.i am in the Stroller and my mom keeps telling my dad we are lost and he says no and they argue as parents do. Then everything turns Red and Black and my mom says that we need to ask for directions. We get to a huge Chasm and look down as a Red dragon comes up. The dream started when I was about 6. My mom had it once the week she met my father.
Hello, wow, Mechaela, that was a seriously cool dream, I mean nightmare!
Mine, its the same, a huge passenger airplane crashes right before my eyes. I have had this dream since I was a kid.
i just thought of another one i could share...
when erica came home from the hospital, andrew took care of her the first few nights.
well... i was dreaming that i had a rope tied around me and was being pulled thru a forest, hitting trees and shrubs and the like.
erica gave a BIG CRY, and though andrew was with her, it made me wake up. But simultaneously, i was dreaming that i was being pulled thru a hollow log, and there was a HUGE BADGER or hedgehog or possum or something. And it was gnawing my head off.
Yeah, i sat upright in my bed, but could still see this thing right on me.
Weird
Holy hedgehog! That is intense!!!
I had this dream when I was young... In my 5 year old mind, it was a horrible nightmare. Looking back, I see it should be lame... But it still freaks me out...
There are several people gathered in a garage, hanging out. Someone gets in the car and is backing out. There's a frog in the way, and the car runs it over. I see the nasty guts of the frog. Then it bubbles, and a frog climbs out of the guts.
I know, it's lame... But I still get really freaked out by it.
Just thought of another one. This one is a recurring dream. In it, I'll be chillin' or whatever (it varies). All of a sudden, for no reason, I feel my mouth is full some gravel-like stuff. I go to spit it out... Here it's my teeth-they had all crumbled inside of my mouth.
Wierd, huh? I have it every so often.
Glad I don't remember any of my dreams. WOW.
When I was little I had a reoccuring dream that a big boulder was rolling towards me behind our house, and I had to run to get away from it... but then I realized some years later that perhaps it was inspired by the Indiana Jones movies so popular in the 80's.
When I was pregnant with Becky and Abby, I kept having dreams that I was having twin girls. I dreamt that I broke open an egg, and two yokes came out. And I dreamt that I went to the Dr's for a checkup. He waved a magic wand over my stomach, and a computer printed out a paper with a picture of two little girls. This was before ultra-sounds were routinely done.
I kept asking the Dr if I could be having twins, and he kept saying no, there was only one heart beat. Then, a month before they were due, I went in for a check-up, and he heard multiple heart beats!
