Pay day! What a yummy candy bar!
Oh, wrong kind of pay day! Oops! So, you get your paycheck. All you need to do is take it to the bank and cha-ching! You're rolling in the dough! (And I'm getting hungry!)
Only problem is... You, for some stupid reason, thought it was a great idea to to get a checking account at a bank that is 30 minutes away... Very smart! And going on with your smart tendencies... You let your gas tank go down to just about empty. You'll never make it there w/out filling up. BUT you have no cash on you! Just $3.00 in dimes and quarters in your change purse. AND your checking account is currently at 76 cents. Good Job!
So what do you do?
1) Go to the gas station and buy $3.00 in gas, and get strange looks from the cashier.
2) Pump gas, and drive away w/out paying... Rules are meant to be broken.
3) Beg the cashier to spot you some money... You're a pretty cute girl/guy.
4) Try to make the trip as is... What's life w/out taking risks, right?!
5) Use your Debit card anyway... Maybe it'll work, and you'll just pay the overdrawal fee later.
6) Your own ideas.
The moral of the story is... Get direct deposit. It's so much easier!
Now... Excuse me while I go in search of some sort of sugary treat!

if u leave ur license with them u can come back and pay them later.. just tell them u forgot to bring your debit/credit cards. u get ur license back when u pay them!
don't they have direct deposit and internet banking in your area?

Fu- not all companies offer Direct Deposit... I think the company has to pay for it. My school just started offering it two weeks ago. It's great!
My boss won't let us have direct deposit. He wants to see the checks in front of him.
yeah, i have no debit card, no credit card. only checks...
AND, there's only one station that i know of that will take checks. so, when i cant use my hubby's card, i have to drive OUT OF THE WAY to that station.
How do you live without a debit card?!!!!
Long live debit and credit cards. Oh, and my salary directly goes into my salary acct. so no problems.
Gotta say I love direct deposit - and of course banks with BANK MACHINES close by and all over the city.
Ya, I agree with ya'll here on the debit card deal, how can you live without? The world is pushing us check writers out. I would have paid in change to get to the bank. Ever tried those check cashing places? You have to pay a fee but at least you can get the cash. I truly hate money.
for sure I would pay with my loose change. Its better than breaking the law and if they don't like my change they don't have to take it!
Besides, dimes and nickles have a bad rap. Its about time the get used more and put in a place of honor as the spending money they are!
