Cheap as Free

Tis the season... to spend lots of money!

Increasingly, malls are being avoided and internet stores are being visited. Really, it's so much easier to find exactly what you're looking for! (Question #1- do you shop via internet?)

So, assuming you do... You buy these awesome gifts online- three things from the same site. A week and a bit later, you get them in the mail. Three large boxes. That's kind of wierd... the things weren't supposed to be big. You set them down inside, and go about your business. A few days later, you decide to take them out and wrap them all pretty-like. You open the first box... What in the world! You didn't order this stuff! You open the next box... Ok- this is your stuff... all three things... So what's the last box? You open it up... a bunch of stuff you didn't order.

Each box has a sales slip. The box of your stuff has your sales slip. The first box has a sales slip that says, "Ship to Suzanne Lee, Green Lane, IN." What the heck?! You look at the sales slip for the last box. It says, "Ship to Richard Jones, San Diego, CA." Why in the world did this stuff get sent to you?! Well, at least you got your stuff, and your not poor Suzanne, waiting for a package that just isn't coming.

As you look through the other boxes, you think, "Oh! I like this stuff! This would make a great gift to Grandma Georgette! Aunt Betty would LOVE this!"

You're caught in a bit of a perdicament. You were never the kind of person that would even think about stealing. But yet... Money is tight this year. And you technically wouldn't be stealing. (Question #2) So what do you, the law-abiding citizen, do?
  1. Keep it all! They'll never figure out you have it!
  2. Donate it to Toys For Tots. Poor kids need it more than Suzanne and Richard.
  3. Pick out a little gift for G-G and Auntie B. Send the rest back. Maybe they'll think if they made one mistake, they made another one, too, by not including all the items.
  4. Mail it to Suzanne and to Richard. They deserve a happy holiday, too!
  5. Call the company. Make them come and get it. Why should you pay $15 to ship it back? It wasn't your mistake.
Regardless of what you would do... Have a Merry Christmahanukawansa! And a Happy New Year!

#5 :D
I've never shopped online, scared something would go wrong because I like to try things on and take my time but it does sound tempting to keep the things if you liked them hehe.

First things first, I could be one of the '8 person online' in your previous post, who left without a comment, sorry for that :)
Came to your blog from your comment on Raj's blog, I love blog hopping. Most effective way to kill time and learn a bit.
Shopping on internet, I generally do it for commodity items or things which don't cost much.

I think you could have kept the things, lol. Dear Suzanne and Richard would have contacted the company by now and got a replacement parcel.

Nice blog, good luck and keep blogging.

Yall are good people. You're all answering #5... Are there no risk takers?

I'd be very tempted to do #3. Keep a little bit, send the rest back. Would I really? Probably not. I'm all talk.
