Hanging Out the Dirty Laundry
So, I'm doing my laundry. Looking at the tags to see how to wash them.
"Maching wash cold. Tumble dry low."
"Machine was hot. Tumble dry low."
"Machine wash cold. Flat dry."
"Maching wash warm. Line dry."
"Hand wash only."
"Dry-clean only."
Why is laundry so confusing and complicated?!?!?! Do you actually follow all of these laundry rules? Is it really so bad to machine dry a flat dry only shirt? Why are some things flat dry and some line dry? I'm gonna go crazy! HELP!

I only divide my clothe into three categories:
A. The ones i get dry cleaned.
B. The ones i machine wash'n'dry.
B. The ones i machine wash but flat dry (mostly t-shirts with motifs).
you shouldnt put stuff in a dryer that says to dry flat. though, sometimes i hang it, sometimes a lay it flat-- it doesnt matter how you position it, as long as its air drying.
as for temperatures, i dont give a flying rats patooty. (hehe) i always us medium dryer heat and machine wash warm cold.
*whistles* I seporate my cloths into two categories...
1) Clean ones that I wear
2) Dirty ones that I throw into the wash
Such is the life of an 18 year old *big grin*
Dry clean everything.
I actually knew a guy who had his underwear dry cleaned. ACK.
I have no mercy for clothes. I make sure the tags say "machine washable" when I buy them. If not, they are doomed to bleeding shrinkage. LOL
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for offering thoughts and prayers. The support has been overwhelming and much needed.
Hugs and good luck with the laundry.
clairissa... i have found my match in a laundry fanatic like me.
i am VERY anal about laundry. i have not let my mother touch my clothers since i was 13-14 yrs old.
I use Clairissa's instructions except I occasionaly dry clean expensive things (suits etc)
Laundry is easy. I hate ironing though. I always burn myself.
STEP 1: Throw clothes into hamper
STEP 2: Wait
STEP 3: Clothes are magically washed and dried
STEP 4: Thank wife
Funny Dairn... Too bad I don't have that option!
