time for something thought-provoking.

"They can be funny, thought-provoking, and sometimes, just plain pointless."

this is what's written on the top of this blog. well, we've had funny questions. we've had plain-pointless questions. but has there been a thought-provoking question? (that's one in and of itself.)

so, here we go...

What is the greatest lesson you've learned in life? you can be as vague OR as specific as you'd like. (though, no 500-word essays, please!)

talk about provoking a thought! (or two!)

Excuse me, Becky... I have had a few thought-provoking ?'s in the past! Check out the ? from August 3. That one provoked thought.
I'm insulted by your accusations!

So, most important lesson. "I'm always right."

gee abby... nice to see that you're humble. i think michaela has a better grasp on "being right" all the time.
(i'm sure you were just joking though.)

my lesson... actually, abby taught me this one; its something she picked up from someone else...

when i was debating leaving my college in South Carolina to move back to PA to be w/ my boyfriend (now husband), i wasnt sure if i 'loved' him. what is love anyway? see, i was a bit of a player. i wasnt sure that i wanted to give all of that up anyway. transfering away from my college would mean giving up those guys that were chasing me around.

SO, abby said to me that sometimes love means putting aside yourself for that person. NOT as in being a "floormat," like so many women are today. i totally dont agree with that. guys SHOULD NOT be controlling. but, in my situation, it worked. it meant to me that i WAS willing to give up the dating game and be with just andrew.

so, thats my lesson.

I have stubbornly learned that submission, is meant to bring about the better. (take it either way you want, me personally-Bibically...I would explain myself, but I'm far too lazy right now!).

ok... so my real answer.

Patience is really a hard lesson for me. As a teacher, I am daily learning to be patient. There are countless situations where I NEED to be patient... or else I'd lose it and yell at the kids!

And just when you think you've obtained patience... WHAM! It comes at you in some other form.
